Appreciation #5

This is getting hard,
To think of three things,

Not because there aren’t three things,
Nor that I can’t remember them,

But as I discussed, with Sara yesterday,
To remember them at the right time,
Is the age-old problem;

I’ll have to start a list,
If I’m going to take thus seriously,
I’ll have to start a list,
If I’m going to take this seriously,
—Come on, fungers!
You pair of tw*ts;

I appreciate my hair,
Despite my temptation to cut it,
For short does suit it,
But also big, messy and fun 😉,
—It helps me to take things,
A little less seriously;

I appreciate my fingers,
Despite their flaws,
Despite the numerous typos,
As I’m writing to write poems;

I appreciate the Solar System,
With its magnificent diversity—
Big, small, fat, dense,
Hot, rocky, gaseous, icy,

—I wonder,
Will that ‘ninth’ planet be announced? 😉
