Post-Korma Bliss

“New study reveals eating curry can boost your mood”,

You don’t say!
I love eating curries,
Especially in the mornings when I’m at my lowest,

And I’ve been purposefully using more turmeric this year,
And it does seem to help, too,
In addition to the kick from the spice;

Perhaps I should explore making more spiced foods,
For a nutritious mood-boosting breakfast!
And have porridge for lunch instead.

(Spots a ‘Masala Oats’ recipe underneath this post πŸ€”πŸ˜¬).

  1. Hi mate!

hmmm you made me hungry πŸ˜€ I just love curry – and Indian food in general. My newest addiction is Daal Makhani

Having something spicier for breakfast sounds like a plan! Guess I gotta try

    Cheers

    1. Haha! Nice!

Thanks I’ll check that out. Hope it’s not hard to make lol. I feel like you’d prefer simple recipes though. I could be completely wrong.

Yup! Really recommend it :). Half the time I want to have savoury things in the morning. Who knows, maybe it was really just the novelty lol.

      1. Haha I cannot cook so I usually get it from our local indian restaurant πŸ˜€ and punjabi chole is my other favourite if you are into indian food

And yep, you are right about the fact that I like simple recipes more πŸ˜€

Most of the time, I do not have breakfast – not because I am not hungry but I have always been a night owl and I always get up at the last moment possible, already running to work πŸ˜€ haha

How have you been lately? Long time no speak

        Cheers

      2. Haha! Fancy. Someone’s doing ok during lockdown πŸ™„. Well, you’re not in lockdown, but post-lockdown. Same sentiment.

I can’t read that sentence about you not having breakfast without feeling a painful pang in my stomach lol. If I was ever in that situation I’d always at least eat a couple of bananas haha.

Yeah been up and down! Thanks. Bust mostly ok :). I was able to buy some things I needed, and some mental habits are improving. So some things improved :). How about you?

      1. Oh yeah, my personality is so dynamic that I do not need anyone to keep me company except myself ~ LOL
Actually I do like my own company but I am more of a ‘shrinking violet’ πŸ™‚
I guess I would describe myself as an introvert with a little bit of extrovert (on the sidelines! LOL )

      2. Hahaha 🀣. Ok it makes sense. You’re an internet extrovert lol. I’ve been there, in my teenage years xD.

That means that you have a dynamic imagination! πŸ˜€

I’d say I’m 50:50 or something, lol. A greater proportion extrovert.

I’m finally catching up with comments :), I haven’t had any dedicated time to wordpress for several days.

      3. Yes, a most dynamic imagination, Robin! LOL
I think I am probably about an 80-20 on the scale ~ I have always been a quiet person but love being around those people I really like and that is when I become an extrovert!
So good to hear from you. πŸ™‚

      4. :D. Yeah I used to be only like that around friends but improved a lot over time, funny. ‘Improved’, lol.

Yes, sorry, I’ve been meaning to get back to you for ages! And some others too. It’s great to be back in touch πŸ˜„.
