Cassa Got The Caterpillars!

Cassa (Chinese money plant 😱) got the caterpillars!

A few months ago I bought an insect net/velcro kit as a preventative measure to stop insects coming into my room, since that’s always been incredibly annoying in summer but now with the plants it was an extra-good idea. I didn’t get around to it until today, though, and in the meantime discovered two caterpillars on a new plant which was recently given to me by a friend in return for getting her printer working!

Cassa the Chinese money plant

This plant was nameless until today— when the perfect name for it came to me 🤣.

“cassa” “pay here”
piccola cassa petty cash
battere cassa (figurative) to come looking for money

      1. ahahahah! we are not playing well, not very precise, disorganized … we do not deserve the victory, for now. however, you also win by taking advantage of the few opportunities 😉🤞

      2. You better believe it!!! 😄😄😄

It’s absolutely remarkable isn’t it how it’s been a total home tournament for England!!?? Just except for 1 game. Brown envelopes everywhere.

You know what happens when England plays in a final at Wembley…😄.

I don’t agree with the stupid booing, though! Especially during national anthems…😧.

  1. Great name! 😁…and garlic and chilli spray is natural repellent. “Ward off insects with garlic and chilli
Combine crushed garlic and chilli (powdered chilli will do if you don’t have fresh) with one tablespoon of vegetable oil and a small amount of dishwashing liquid or soap flakes. Leave to soak overnight in a jar, then strain and spray on plants.”

    1. Thanks! I do have those ingredients, actually :).

I was also thinking of painting the leaves with water/neem oil solution, since that’s what I usually clean the leaves of my plants with :). But now I have the insect net up, there’s really no need to try to repel insects 😄. That’s good to know this recipe, though :).

  2. One time someone gave me a pepper plant and it was very leafy and pretty. I put it out on a screened patio and it was fine until a few days later when I went to water it and not a single leaf was on it. Apparently a horn worm had accompanied the plant because that was all that was left on the branch 😠.

      1. Aw, she’s a very nice old lady. It’s just she started them outside and then potted one for me. It was interesting to see, though. That caterpillar was huge!! Maybe I’ll get a plant, hopefully sans infant moths.
