Surprise Trip

After I messaged my friends saying I couldn’t make the trip, the one who we’re visiting said his dad offered to pick me up on Friday, so I agreed! It definitely makes it a lot easier to contemplate, and it’s amazing they offered to do it. His parents are also keen to see me and I’m actually only 80 miles from them. It’s also made even easier by the fact there’s a single motorway perfectly connecting both places, so the drive is only an hour and a half.

He also suggested I don’t tell the other friend so we can surprise him. I might have to tell the friend we’re surprising though and ask him not to let on to the friend who suggested surprising him…since he’s going to want to make sure he can contact the airbnb host and might mention to them that I’m not coming. He’s going to have to act surprised :).
