Are you suffering physical abuse?
Are you suffering sexual abuse?
Do you have problems with drugs or addiction?
Then I’m afraid we can’t help you.
Invisible physical disabilities,
All examples of things which don’t make you the right type of vulnerable.
It’s ok, though,
Because there are private rented accommodations,
However being in private rented accommodation further ‘discounts’ you as being ‘vulnerable’ in the eyes of certain organisations,
Because you must be a certain level of functional if you’re in one of them…
Demonstrably standing on two feet,
As it were.
And you phone up the private rented places,
“I have the ideal tenant for you”,
I’m sorry, these properties are for professionals only, thank you,
Get the fuck out of society!!!

And when you don’t act the way they believe a disabled person should, forget about it.
Yep. Exactly the theme of my next post.
You hit the nail on the head, sadly and and a true reflection of a system that is broken.
This is so sad and unbelievably infuriating!! 😫
Thanks! It really is devastating to think of the wider implications. We really need community responsibility back.
