The flashing blues are out in force again
Tangible signs of background tension

Usually hidden from the eyes of the currently-healthy
The warning signs are there
To those paying attention;

So the grand experiment begins
Has in fact already begun
No restrictions, no mandated isolation
No masks
No personal responsibility

The whims of the masses go with the flow
When it suits
So despite the NHS’s best intentions
The grinding mill of capitalism rolls on
Employees must show up
Are compelled to show up by imagined moral obligation
To infect
To spread
Lay waste to the unfortunate
So it must be
As has always been
Show some humanity!
This is the human way.
