Since the possession claim was an ‘accelerated procedure’, a hearing wasn’t guaranteed. The fact that I have been granted a hearing means that they considered the issues I raised to have merit.
In addition to that, they’re also confused who the landlord is π. I’m glad I’m not the only one, as I’ve seen different names at different times. Perhaps my solicitor can use this as another reason to show that the claim is defective :). I can’t wait for the hearing. Can you imagine? If the landlord I’ve met is there he’s going to embarrass himself, guaranteed. He will go off topic, he won’t answer the questions. He’ll accuse me of growing weed again.
The hearing is a whole 2 months away which is already amazing extra time for Launchpad to find me somewhere to live. I was extremely happy to open this letter and to see that date. It’s also removed my fears of becoming homeless around Christmas. That period is now clear! And to think the letting agent and landlord thought I was gunna be gone by October 4th, due to them not having any clue about the housing law π.
