Poem 1 Minute

Amidst all of the hassle and stress of yesterday, I went to the supermarket and saw on the plant display as you walk in a bunch of snake plants! I always glance at the plants but they’re usually more outdoor plants than indoors and this was the first time I’d seen snake plants there. They were a type of snake plant I wanted. And only Β£4 each…amazing. Not all pots were equal…some had two rosettes in, so I’ve got two plants for Β£4. The best plants are spontaneous and opportunistic plants.

Resolute is the 28th addition to Fort Plante πŸ˜„. I’m amassing a fourth area of plantage here πŸ˜…. My jungle is now adding significant humidity to the room and I rarely need to use the humidifier anymore πŸ§–β€β™‚οΈ.

Also on the housing front, things are a little less urgent. I have a legal right to stay here for now, and people are being more helpful. I’m just staying calm and doing what I can, and not getting frustrated with myself for what I can’t do when anxiety/OCD kick in. Having the plants to return to and daily watering tasks is a big help.

This new friend in the form of an indestructible snake plant carries obvious symbolism!

      I also finally got the door lock changed today. I’d delayed it because of a stupid unnecessary expense I caused myself before, and also thought it’d be much more hassle than it was. My god, it’s simple to change a door lock and better to do it yourself if it’s not a case of being locked out because the service is disproportionately expensive. Just need a screwdriver. It’s kind of counter-intuitive considering that you view a lock as this super-secure thing. But yeah, a useful lesson!

      Anyway now I have this added layer of security which feels great. It’ll literally take a court injunction to get me out πŸ˜„.
