The Three Margateers β˜˜οΈ

Cringe warning.

Margarita, my second ever plant (I now have 27!!), gave her body for the advancement of science. Not reallyβ€” she got infected 😭. Yet she lives on through the Three Margateers. Grown from her cuttings, they have all now been potted and named after starting life in a glass of water.

Margarita, in a pot way too big for her πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ₯²

Margarissa was potted first!
Followed a couple of weeks later by Margalina
Margalina is unique for having a Harry Potter scar
…Some weeks later still, Margalastbutnotleast!

My improved gardening skills should hopefully lead to a better fate for these plants.

Bonus: it turns out the Three Margateers may be expecting a baby brother at some point! This stem section which I’d given up hope on (almostβ€” I did keep watering!) has recently started to properly grow a shoot!

Lessonβ€” dieffenbachia plants are reallly easy to propagate.

      1. Actually, now that I think about it, I found a branch in my yard and I used it as a stake to tie up some lilies and it took root and is now a bizarre little tree πŸ€” Does that count?
