Margarita, my second ever plant (I now have 27!!), gave her body for the advancement of science. Not really— she got infected 😭. Yet she lives on through the Three Margateers. Grown from her cuttings, they have all now been potted and named after starting life in a glass of water.
My improved gardening skills should hopefully lead to a better fate for these plants.
Bonus: it turns out the Three Margateers may be expecting a baby brother at some point! This stem section which I’d given up hope on (almost— I did keep watering!) has recently started to properly grow a shoot!
Lesson— dieffenbachia plants are reallly easy to propagate.
