Second Wave

The virus has spread,

Found new fertile ground,

Exploded,

I did say,

Numbers are rising exponentially,

We thought a nuclear war could do the trick,

It evaded that one,

This latest variant is spaceborne,

We need to get these numbers under control before it spreads elsewhere,

Such as the Moon or Mars,

We could try a…virus?

What if it develops a vaccine to the virus?

A vaccine to the vaccine, if you will,

We must try,

Wait for our interventions to take effect,

This wave is plateauing,

Numbers should soon fall off a cliff,

Let’s hope that we don’t see a second wave,

For Earth’s sake.
