Story of my life,
I’m at the supermarket,
About to pay for everything…
—Where is my bank card!!!???
How can it possibly not be in there,
For it never has to leave the phone case!!
And of course, purely because Apple Pay still doesn’t work,
I had to just come back home;
Then, as always, just as I got back I realised what had happened—
The day before I’d had to insert the card which is a rare occurrence,
So, just like the last two times this happened, back in the first lockdown,
—I left the card in the reader again 😅😅😅;
And just like the last time,
It’s the story of my life…
It’s why I’m not employable and much much else!
Simple things have me running around in circles on wild goose chases, chasing my own tail!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
The very fact that none of this has me panicking or anxious at all,
Simply enjoying the scooter ride back and the fresh air,
(Because I am so used to this),
Adds an extra edge of incongruity to the whole classic situation.
There was some good, however— on the way there I so nearly fell off the scooter for the first time ever (and which would have ended in me smashing my teeth against a railing), but for some awesome reflexes and balance skills whilst drifting over wet leaves in slow motion, a save which I still don’t understand— but the whole story could not be more classic ADHD for me 😆. Give me a motorised vehicle and low traction and I’m there 😉. I’ve got skills, I’m just useless to society…🤦♂️.
