F***ing Fly

Poem 1 Minute

My creativity is being held hostage,
By a fly that keeps buzzing around me,

All day long, I’ve tried to hit it away,
But I’ve just realised, I’m using the wrong tactics;

I’m trying to finish a satisfying poem,
But I’m in no frame of mind to do it,
So the next time I see that fucking fly,
I’m going to grab it in my hand,
And chuck it outside!!!!!
Or worse.

And I’ve already missed it,
About three times!

Now even rhymes are annoying me ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Now there’s going to be a big spider, I just know it. At my point of most heightened tension.

Ah ha!

Lavender, eucalyptus, peppermint and lemongrass essential oils โ€“ Not only will spraying these oils around the house create a beautiful aroma, but they will also deter those pesky flies too.

And I have the first three of those in my growing collection! ๐Ÿ˜. Apparently tea tree (which is impossible to type) works on spiders and which I just got yesterday! I am banging these in the diffuser.

      3. I’ve been vacuuming them up today :). I actually received a vacuum cleaner yesterday that I’d ordered, a little hand-held one. There were actually multiple of them! I sucked up about 10 tiny flies ๐Ÿ˜†. I had to keep the vacuum cleaner next to me so that I could quickly draw it and get them. I managed to catch a couple with my hand, too, finally!

        I actually, literally am lmao. I have to practise my quick-draw technique, so I can get the flies before I lose sight of them. And I’m pretty sure I just breathed one in whilst typing๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I sit here with the vacuum next to me within arm’s reach, and it turns out they are incredibly good at avoiding it!! So I actually have to sneak up on them ๐Ÿคฃ.

    1. Lol. Wow that would be annoying. The one in my room was actually a tiny speck, but it kept flying right in front of my face because of the computer screen. It was just alternating between 2 different light sources all day ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. But you’d only ever get once chance to get it before it flew away, and it was impossible to grab because it was so small that the displacement of air from your hand would push it away ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

      Actually! I’ve just bought a mini handheld vacuum cleaner, that would’ve been perfect!
