I Miss It, I Need It

I want to play along with,
The Civil Wars again,
I want to play their music out,
In an environment that,
Does the music justice,
Where the music can be heard,
Engaged with,
And,
Fully experienced,

I want to pick up my guitar again,
And feel in the mood to,
Fall in love again,
It was the happiest I’ve been,

I’ve really missed it.

Once I get to a safe environment it will take me a while before I feel like doing this again, and a big part of me died along with it. It’s been so long.

      Hmmm…! Well, I don’t like songs which are too ‘samey’, where the sound doesn’t vary much throughout the song. And I find these older songs often sound quite ‘fuzzy’, where the words are harder to distinguish from the background. It was actually hard for me to tell that that song was in English πŸ˜†.

      When I was a child, I didn’t immediately realise that singers were singing words! I actually thought they were just making sounds. Then when I did realise, I was confused about why they sing the words so slurred and unclearly. I really prefer songs where the voices are clear, and with few instruments. They feel a lot more intimate to me, too. Fewer instruments and people on stage :). I wasn’t very interested in music until a few years ago, when I discovered a lot of indie artists which meet my criteria :D.

      2. That song’s pretty uplifting! I really want to play the drums now lol. I think I’d be good at it. I couldn’t hear the words though πŸ˜…. Are you very musical?

        I have to admit that I did sing along to Believe by Cher a lot at some point, as a 10 year old child πŸ˜…. Making my sounds into my microphone… πŸ˜†.

        Funny that Believe isn’t my favorite song from her. I love her rock era: If I could turn back Time, I Found Someone, We all Sleep Alone and Save Up All your tears are my favorites. πŸ˜‰

        Oh and I love her costumes, which I wear myself some too hahahahah πŸ˜‰

        I’ll be honest, all of those other song titles are new to me πŸ˜†. (I spent my childhood in a cave).

        I just googled for her costumes. Now I’m curious! 🧐 Lol xD
