Tense And Jump

You can block out the sounds,
But you can’t block out the earthquakes,

You can’t unhear the sounds which you can feel in your chest,
And you can’t unfeel disturbances which shudder through your limbs,

Damnit,
Even though I tried,
And got in a loopβ€”

The hardest thing is to stop trying to perfect something,
Interrupted by an outside disturbance,
Whilst in an anxious state,

Because for me it’s not enough to just complete something,
To finish the last satisfying sentenceβ€”
It’s only satisfying when I’m fully immersed in what I’m doing,
And that’s the only way that anything but angry writing is possible,

And when noisy housemate stampedes through the hallway,
That’s fucked,
And it makes me tense and jump,

(Not just me, eitherβ€”
Inanimate objects also rattle and shake).

But if he wants to keep doing that,
Then I can keep writing horror stories πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ;
Up to you,
Up to fucking you.

    1. Haha! Fucβ€”thank you very much! It is indeed :).

A couple of times when I worked in a shop and said ‘thank you’ a customer thought for a moment I said ‘fuck you’ and asked me to repeatβ€¦πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ. Plot twistβ€” I did say ‘fuck you’, lol. No, kidding.

Hahaha! The autograph guy in the video πŸ˜†. Thanks πŸ™‚

    1. Hahahaha! Thanks! This comment is really appropriate because it was exactly you and Charmer (mostly you) I was channelling with that line. It’s not the sort of thing I’d personally say lol.
