I relate to this on a spiritual level. I literally will get up out of bed at 3 am to send emails… wide awake. It’s insane and never ending. I try to combat it.

Oh, wow, that IS quite bad, that sounds really stressful. I guess it manifests in different ways between us. At least when I’m really tired and just want to go to sleep, I don’t really get interrupted by OCD. I experienced that last year in the car a bit, though.
Good on you for trying to combat it! Have you seen a therapist about it, or do you try exposure methods. I was just trying to think of a way you could ‘make fun’ of that compulsion. That’s what works best for me. Perhaps when you feel the urge to do it, email yourself saying ‘Stop emailing and go to bed you idiot lol’. Or ‘HAVE YOU REMEMBERED TO SEND ALL THE EMAILS? ARE YOU SURE?’ lol.
