When I become aware again,
Of the pressures of living here,
It gets me into a panic,
For I can do all I can, with the other things,
But the human-created stress and oppression from being around these people,
I can’t do anything about,
Not in the short-term, and I don’t know how long the long-term is;
It’s really really clear, that to feel safe enough again,
To have any significant respite from the anxiety, at last,
Will require the space to myself;
But don’t get into a panic π,
Keep going, and doing what you know,
The paralysis which these feelings can cause,
Can trick you into feeling even worse than you really do;
You have come far, and though it’s been long,
It will be worth it and you’ll show them all;
Your feelings and decisions will be vindicated.
We choose to live on our ownβ¦
We choose to live on our own in this decade and do the other things,
Not because they are easy, but because they are hard;
Because that goal will serve to organise and measure the best of our energies and skills,
Because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept,
One we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win.

You are most welcome, Robin, I am doing okay, thank you. Some days I just want to get away, maybe take a trip to San Francisco but that is not going to happen, probably not for a long time. And I am so sick and tired of all the corruption going on in our Govt now , I just so want trump gone! He is an evil man as well as his Attorney General. Would you drive to San Francisco? How many times have you been before? I once did a running race with my friend over the Golden Gate Bridge and back, when it was densely swathed in fogβ that was amazing and surreal! I won, of course, by a mile and did pressups at the end whilst waiting.
Yeah, it’s crazy how far off travelling and things will be. Though they only just, FINALLY, decided to try to do something about the influx of travellers arriving at airports here (asking them to self-isolate for 2 weeks…closing border would be too much to ask!). I don’t think that’s going to make much difference lol.
Yeah I can’t even imagine the US government being my country’s government. It’s bad enough to observe it from outside! Scary enough, too. I think the world is united on wanting him gone and seeing him as a joke!

Robin, it’s over 1200 miles from Denver to San Francisco by car,so too far to drive. We have been there now 7 times, love the city and the people.

Traveling by air scares me now and will it ever be safe again?
We have plans to go to San Francisco in Nov but time will tell if we go.
I have a feeling trump will be gone before too long, I don’t see how he can win the next election but a lot of crazies still support him!

The US is paying for his incompetence!

Well everything just comes down to whether or not we develop a vaccine. It’s an interesting situation to see if we can do it and how long it will take, with all of the world’s research teams working on it! I think a lot will be learned from that process, and it would be an awesome international achievement to make.

Yes, has to be, surely! Unless there is some serious corruption of vote-counting, or hacking. Incompetence isn’t even a relevant word for him. Sanity would be an achievement firstly!
