Writing Themes

I’d love to keep this all dreamy and cosy,
Writing almost exlusively creatively,

So to find myself writing about housemates,
And all things banal and tedious and horridβ€”
That bugs me,

But, at the same time,
That is what I started writing for,
To describe and relate the stresses,

It’s just that,
The main stresses have changed beyond all recognition,
From all-consuming OCD and rumination,
And staircase-induced arthritic aggravation,
Etc.
Not least, of which…
A mountain of unspoken trauma,

To these new more externally-inflicted ones,
Requiring a different survival mode again,
And which set me back against my control…

So it’s very easy to resent all of that,
And the way it’s reflected in what I need to express,

I guess, I’ll just keep telling myself,
That somebody out there will relate and find it useful,

And at the same time, writing is still writing,
I simply enjoy it,
And it’s all good practise.

      1. I am good expect for thinking today was Sunday. Ha, it’s Saturday!
I just had a cup of coffee, maybe the caffeine will wake me up and set me straight. LOL
        Everyday is the same
and it is beginning to be a pain
        and hurting my poor brain
I just want to get on a plane
        maybe travel to Spain
and celebrate with a glass of champagne! LOL

      2. Haha! I thought yesterday was Saturday!! This is because I’m splitting my waking time evenly between 2 separate days at the moment 🀣.

        “Everyday is the same
and it is beginning to be a pain”

I agree! It’s so easy to let the days become the same, and to not do new things which are within your power. I’ve become locked into a routine of various types of anxious thinking, so that I’m losing so much time with it, I lack time for doing things. It’s hard to break out of that cycle without feeling guilty! I’m trying though πŸ™‚.

        “maybe travel to Spain
and celebrate with a glass of champagne!”

That would be great! Although I’m currently sweltering so more heat would not be a good idea! Summer begins earlier and earlier each year here! The short-term fluctuations of English weather never stop surprising me, either.

Glad you still have your sense of humour though Margie! Golly gee! πŸ˜‰

      3. Robin, you would love our weather here today, it’s a beautiful spring morning the sun is shining and the temp is perfect 66F but tomorrow winter is paying us a visit as snow is expected with a low of 19F. It seems like the past few years it has snowed on Easter Sunday. What is your temp there today?

I need to try and keep my sense of humor!
“What’s orange and sounds like a carrot?
A parrot! LOL golly gee! πŸ™‚

      4. 66 to 19 in a day!? That wouldn’t even happen here! That’s crazy, let me know what the temperature is tomorrow!

The temperature was up to 23/24 today! It’s still really warm now! I still have the window wide open. It’s at least as hot again tomorrow, but then down to 12 again on Monday, apparently! I’m not converting those temperatures lol 😜.

      5. Did you hear about the pig that joined the Royal Shakespeare Company?
He was a natural Hamlet! LOL

I had my snow boots on today, too dang cold for spring!

      6. Lol, I don’t get the connection between Hamlet and pig, sorry! Remember I was only hatched yesterday!

“I had my snow boots on today”
Wow! The latitude of Denver is 40 degrees, and your weather is so completely different to here. Obviously the altitude makes things colder :D, but it’s sooo much warmer here at 52 degrees latitude.

      7. Oh, it was kind of lame but ham comes from a pig. LOL
That is the connection! Golly gee!

Well, it’s still snowing and I do not like it, I do not like it one it!

  1. Yes, keep writing my friend! Your truth is clear and others definitely do relate. All human experiences are necessary in order for understanding the collective. Stay blessed, much love and be safeπŸ™πŸ˜Šβ€πŸŒŽ
