A Positive Ending

Anxiety, Poem 1 Minute

Ahhh…
I just built myself up to cleaning,
The bathroom which my housemate dirtied,

I had my planβ€”
Use the mop,
To clean at arm’s length!

Then clean it how I normally would,
I cleaned it all well,
It was perfectly clean…

Oh wow,
A car just roared past with a deafening sound,
That was the loudest I’ve heard,
Like holding a vacuum cleaner to my ear 😨;

Anyway, I cleaned the fucking bathroom,
I cleaned a bit the kitchen whilst it was drying,
I was just finishing and about to finally use it,

And the same housemate walked past me into the bathroom,
Staring straight ahead as he does,
Barging through the room as he does,

Which frustrated me beyond belief,
And I had a little scream;

I waited in my room,
Then went to see what I knew,
β€”The toilet was covered again,
In a fresh layer of piss;

And I really let loose,
I was enraged!

Then after a few minutes,
I went to talk to my other housemate;

β€”The alcoholic housemate, who believe it or not,
In the early days of being here was a good friend,

And in the last few days,
She’s been a changed person again!

Dressing well, staying clean,
Getting up, being busy,
Not being drunk all the time,
It’s been really amazing;

So I went to talk to her,
About this filthy housemate,
And it really helped, and she gave me a hug,

And as she was going out for a cigarette,
I asked if I could have one,
And it really helped, once again,
As it always does! πŸ˜‰

And here’s another thingβ€”
The backgarden, once covered in cigarettes,
Even before the dramatic day on Wednesday,
Has been restored once again,

So I’m no longer resenting her,
And I had a smoke with her,
She’s completely on my side,
And I felt ready to face it again;

β€”I cleaned the toilet,
Once again,
She’d also been inspired to do more cleaning,
So now everything’s clean,

And this guy’s going back to Portgual next week,
For another 2 months,
Apparently,

And we’re both just fucking hoping and praying,
Please, please,
Don’t close the borders yet! 😁

      Yes it really is πŸ™‚. I will be more honest with them from now on, if they start going backwards again, and try to help them more. I’ve realised she at least is a person who is prepared to work with me.

      2. Argghhhhh! Man I’m trying to get through basic tasks so I can do some actual writing. Been dancing around housemates all afternoon so everything taking ages 😨.

        I just went in the kitchen and that guy was staring at me through the back door whilst smoking. Creepy fucking bastard!! I mean he was staring straight through the door before I even walked in and just kept doing it. 😨

    2. (And he’s spent 2 months in Portugal out of 4 of living here. Soon it will be 4 months out of 6. Seems like there must be other people here more in need of his room in the house! Provided through the council.)
