Did you really used to be a human,
Grandad?

Yes,

What happened?

Well, I applied to leave humanity,
Received the help of some very clever scientists,
And with a bunch of genetic modification,
Hormone-replacement therapy,
Life-extending treatments,
And a lot of time…
I became what I am today;

Why did you decide to become a whale, Grandad?

Well, it was clear to me,
That whales were some of the most intelligent creatures on the planet,
So I thought I’d be at home in the deep.

I write poems which are mental health-themed, creative or humourous :). Within mental health I write a lot about: ADHD, OCD, anxiety, autism, emotional traumaβ€” usually with an optimistic slant. My goals for my blog are to give myself a therapeutic, creative outlet whilst also being able to connect with and relate to other people.

      2. 😁. All of the best ones do! :D. I now hate writing unless super-inspired :). I don’t want to have to work at it, it’s not fun. Also the escapism and freedom of fiction is so much more satisfying!
