Appreciation #4

Poem, Silly 1 Minute

Seriously,
Stop ruminating,

I need to write,
An appreciation poem!

I am nothing,
If not ‘all or nothing’,
For today I got up at 3.30,
β€”Why not, I got to sleep so early!

But still,
I’m overthinking,
Being hard on myself,
Which only results in…
Ruminating,
Time disappearing into a black hole so big,
It could power a quasar;

Isn’t that interesting?
The largest black holes in the universe,
β€”Power the brightest objects,
In the universe πŸ€”;

Alright Brian Cox,
It’s thinly-veiled astrophysical education,
Dressed up as ‘mental health poems’,
Shhh! Shut the f**β€”

Some things I appreciate:

The universe,
With all of its enigmaticities,
Infinite undiscovered wonders,
And assured alien biospheres;

Green Health,
And the opportunities for digging,
For I need practice,
If you see what I mean πŸ˜‰;

(No! I’m not a necrophiliac πŸ˜‚);

My tendency to speak,
And write,
Before I think,
For it results, sometimes, in my proudest work 😁.

I write poems which are mental health-themed, creative or humourous :). Within mental health I write a lot about: ADHD, OCD, anxiety, autism, emotional traumaβ€” usually with an optimistic slant. My goals for my blog are to give myself a therapeutic, creative outlet whilst also being able to connect with and relate to other people.

  2. I love this. People don’t take the time (anymore) to look at the sky and wonder…
    When I first started studying philosophy, I thought, “Yay! I’m not the only one!”
    You know, there’s a cool video on TED, on how a company wanted to put screens on the streets (on windows’ buildings) to display the sun, so people could start making a pause, looking at it and “wonder.” I’ll find and send it to you.
